Featured Tracks Playlist November 2025

Hello music fans, I’m R.E. Fort and welcome back to my podcast, and this episode of my Featured Tracks playlist, for November 2025. In this post, I wanted to bring in a few favorite ballads and up tempo smooth jazz tracks. So, let’s talk about these five great tracks: I Don’t Really Know Anymore, Life On The Other Side, Just Remember I’m Always There for You, Told Ya, and A Walk In The Rain. As always, you can find links to this playlist for YouTube, YouTube Music, Spotify, Pandora, Apple Music, or Amazon Music, in this post and on my website at refort.co/playlist. Let’s get to the playlist.

First up is, I Don’t Really Know Anymore from my 2024 release Stop Wait and Think. I really had fun arranging and writing this track. For the guitar chords I layered my Gibson SG and Fender Acoustic Electric guitars to get that cool sound. On keyboards, for chords and some accents, I used a Fender Rhodes electric piano and a String Orchestration sound. The walking bass line is simple, but with the drum programming the song has great movement. For the melody I used a very cool Mayfield Flute sound along with my Fender Acoustic Electric. My Stratocaster is echoing the melody and providing a counter melody. I played the solo on my Gibson SG. Let’s give I Don’t Really Know Anymore a listen.
Next up is the title track from my 2023 release, Life on The Other Side. On this soulful blues track I’m playing my work horse the Fender Acoustic Electric for all the guitar work. The main melody is my guitar and a Baby grand sound. For the counter melody, I added to the guitar and a Fender Rhodes Electric piano sound. To fill out the track there is a soft strings orchestration and that very cool bass guitar line. That solo is really my Fender Acoustic with my rock solo effects on it. Let’s give Life on The Other Side a listen.
Next up is, Just Remember I’m Always There for You, from my 2024 release, Stop Wait and Think. I place this track in the genre, rhythmic soul or smooth jazz, and it’s simply awesome. This big bold track has some great orchestration with horns, strings, some cool synth sounds to accent the melody and a great solo towards the end of the track. On this one I’m playing my Fender acoustic for the melody and chords. I used my Fender Stratocaster for the solo on this track. Let’s give Just Remember I’m Always There for You a listen.
Next up is the title track from my 2022 release, Told Ya. I love this smooth jazz ballad’s melody and groove. As I have said before, the title of the song came from my wife Cheryl. She just sang it out one day while I was writing the track. On this one I’m playing the melody and rhythm guitar section on my Ibanez hollow body, and the solo is my Fender Stratocaster. I really love how the horns and strings came together on this track and its great bass guitar line. Let’s give Told Ya a listen.
To close out this month’s playlist is A Walk in the Rain, from my 2017 CD 10. On this beautiful track I wanted a lot of open space for guitar picking and melody. I’m playing my fender acoustic electric guitar for the picking and the melody on this track. I use a grand piano sound for the main melody and the acoustic guitar coming in filling it out. One of the early versions of this song I added a soft rain effect, but I decided it was over kill. But sometimes, when I’m listening to the track, I can still hear that rain. Let’s give, A Walk in the Rain a listen.
