Featured Tracks Playlist July 2026

Kicking off this July’s playlist, I went back 10 years and selected Your Kiss. From my 2016 release I’m Gonna Let It Ride. This track is near and dear to me. It’s a big smooth jazz track with a great sound. I used my Fender Stratocaster for all the guitar work. I love the horns and big sounds this track has. The rest of the sound canvas or orchestration has a Rhodes electric piano, strings, and, of course, the killer drum programing. Let’s give Your Kiss a listen.

Next up is The Sun is Sun Shining, from my 2019 release, Smooth as I Wanna Be. I really love picking open chords on the guitar, and this track opens with that style of playing using my Fender acoustic electric guitar. I added soft strings and Grand Piano sound to fill out the sound canvas or orchestration. I love the flute sound I used to, along with the Fender acoustic electric for the melody. When I listen to this track, I do here the sun is shining, so let’s get outside in the melody. This is a great feel-good track. Let’s give The Sun is Sun Shining a listen.

To close out this month’s playlist is, Just Remember I’m Always There for You from my 2025 release, Stop Wait and Think. This beautiful track is huge, with strings, horns, grand piano sound, and a Rhodes electric piano sound. I am playing my Fender Stratocaster for the melody and chords. The piano comes in to help build out the melody. The Horns and Strings echo the chorus and fill out the song.  The guitar solo is simply awesome on this track. I put this track in the genre that I call rhythmic soul. Let’s give Just Remember I’m Always There for You a listen.
