Featured Tracks Playlist February 2024

Next up is, Never Another Love Like Ours. This cool ballad has such a beautiful melody. I played my Ibanez hollow body guitar for the melody and the solo on this track. I’m playing my Fender acoustic eclectic guitar for the guitar chords. On this track I’m using a Grand Piano sound for the counter melody, melody and chords. The walking bass guitar line is this track is captivating. Later in the track we move to a 3rd section that brings this full song together. Let’s give Never Another Love Like Ours a listen. 

Next is Know That You’re Loved, another beautiful smooth jazz ballad from the CD Living in Strange Times. I love the intro to this track, with its simple but very pretty Fender Rhodes electric piano sound. I’m playing my Fender Acoustic Electric for the melody and solo on this track. The song has such a cool feel to it with its soft strings, clean drums, great bass guitar line and a cool piano solo. After the piano solo is a very cool guitar solo that I finish the song with. Let’s give Know That You’re Loved a listen. 

Next up is I’m Here for You. I’m playing the piano opening and the chords on the Fender Rhodes electric piano sounds and the melody is the Grand Piano sound. The guitar melody is played using the Fender Acoustic Eclectic. The top lick on the chorus is a soft string sound separate from the other strings throughout the song. I love the way the melody plays back and forth between the piano and the guitar on this track, almost like two singers singing. Let’s give I’m Here for You, a listen.   

Well, we’ve come to the last track of the playlist, A Walk in the Rain. This is one, very beautiful song. It’s what I would call an ambient ballad song. I’m playing my Fender acoustic electric for the chords and the melody. I’m using a grand piano sound on this track for chords, melody and counter melody. The Guitar melody and solo are also on the Fender acoustic electric. The track has some very beautiful guitar picking with layers of strings and a simple bass guitar line. As this track builds the piano starts with a soft melody which is later echoed by the Fender Acoustic electric guitar. The two instruments, the grand piano and guitar play off each other throughout the track. Let’s give A Walk in the Rain a listen.
