Featured Tracks Playlist August 2021

Hello music fans, I’m R E Fort and welcome to my website my Podcast and this Months Featured Tracks Playlist. Each month I do a featured tracks playlist. You can listen to the full tracks on my website, my YouTube channel and Spotify but on my Podcast I only use sample tracks. The track playing behind me now is named So Cool from my 2017 CD 10 . This track and all of the tracks in the playlist can be found on your favorite music streaming and download services. Let’s get to this months playlist.

To Start us off is Run With Me from my 2020 release Living In Strange Times. When I started writing this track I wanted to feel like a conversation between the guitar and keyboards. Each playing parts of the melody and talking back to each other. That’s where the name came from, Run With Me. The Acoustic Guitar and Piano are talking back and forth in the melody with this cool walking bass guitar line running underneath. Later in the track the Fender Stratocaster comes in for a hot guitar solo. I love this track it was so much fun writing and playing. Let’s give Run With Me a listen.

Next up is Why Do I Keep Running Back To You from my 2019 release Smooth As I Wanna Be. This is a hot blues track that just keeps coming at you. In this track I am playing a Hammond Organ sound, and my Fender Stratocaster for the melody and solo work. I play back and forth between these two instruments a lot in a traditional talk about format. This track has a hot guitar solo using my Fender Stratocaster too. The bass guitar in this track has that classic walking bass line that keeps it moving. The drums on this track where a blast to program in and I always have a blast playing this one. Let’s give Why Do I Keep Running Back To You a listen.

Next up is Make It A Double a great blues / smooth jazz track from my 2017 release 10. In this track I’m playing the melody on my Fender acoustic eclectic guitar. The track has a very cool walking bass line and some cool keyboard work. This track keeps you moving with that bass guitar, cool drums and some interesting sounding keyboard accents over the top of the track. When its time for the guitar solo, the track seems to completely change formats when I walk in with the Fender Stratocaster for the guitar solo. Let’s give Make It A Double a listen.

Lastly is the title track from my 2016 release I’m Gonna Make It Ride. This blues track is simply hot. This track features a hot bass line, cool rhythm guitar track, drums and a very hot lead/solo. In this track I played my Fender Stratocaster for both rhythm and lead work. The rhythm section, bass, rhythm guitar and drums really keep this track moving. When I was writing this track I was playing with drum patterns and everything just came together once I heard the final drum section I was programming. As with must of my music what started out always changes once everything is recorded and the solo guitar really did. Let’s give I’m Gonna Make It Ride a listen
