Stop Wait and Think
Just Remember I’m Always There for You
$1.50

First up is Just Remember I’m Always There for You, from my 2025 release, Stop Wait and Think. This rhythmic soul track is huge, with Strings, Horns, grand piano sound and a Rhodes electric piano sound. I am playing my Fender Stratocaster for the melody, with a Grand Piano sound to fill it out. I played my fender acoustic for the chords with a Rhodes electric piano and string sound to fill that out. The strings really help define the verse from the chorus on this track. I love the way the guitar solo is introduced on this track. I played it on my Stratocaster, and it takes this track to a new place.  Let’s give Just Remember I’m Always There for You, a listen.

Told Ya - Copyright 2022
For All The Good Times
$1.50

Next up is For All the Good Times, from my 2022 release Told Ya. I put this upbeat track in my jazz funk genre. It’s a conversation between my grand piano sound and my Gibson SG. While the conversation is going on, the foundation or rhythm section is holding everything together. The rhythm section is the Bass guitar, drum programming, my Fender Acoustic electric and a Rhodes electric piano sound playing the chords. I really love the bass guitar work I did on this track; it really drives the track forward. My Gibson SG sounds so good against that baby grand. I love this track. Let’s give For All the Good Times a listen.

“For All The Good Times” from Told Ya by R. E. Fort. Released: 2022. Track 6. Genre: Jazz+Funk.

Stop Wait and Think
For Themselves
$1.50

Next up, For Themselves from my 2025 release, Stop Wait and Think. I think this rock fusion track rocks. I play the melody using my Stratocaster, and a Grand Piano sound. On keyboards I used a combination of instruments, strings and a Fender Rhodes electric piano sound for chords. The solos are played using my Gibson SG. This up-tempo track fuses rock and progressive rock into a killer jam. The break on this track brings in the progressive rock vibe with cool licks between the Gibson SG and the Grand Piano Sound. Let’s give For Themselves, a listen.

I’m Gonna Let It Ride © 2016
I’m Gonna Let It Ride © 2016
$12.99

Next up is a blast for the past the title track, I’m Gonna Let It Ride I released in 2015. You know, after just over ten years this CD and track still get me moving. On this one I kept it very simple just my Bass guitar, my Stratocaster for Rhythm, melody and solo guitar work, a Rhodes electric piano sound, and killer drums. I love the bass guitar work I did on this track. I had a blast programming those funky drums and writing that melody and killer solo. Let’s give I’m Gonna Let It Ride a listen.

14 - Life On The Other Side
Why Don’t Ya Just Let Us Play
$1.50

To close out this month’s playlist is Why Don’t Ya Just Let Us Play from my 2023 release Life on The Other Side. This track is a fun fusion of funk, blues and a little rock. When I started working on this track, I fell in love with that bass guitar line and my drum programing. The foundation or sound canvas for this track is that rhythm section, the rhythm guitar, Fender Rhodes on chords, bass guitar, staccato horns, and those awesome drums. I used my Gibson SG for the rhythm guitar and melody. For the solo, I used my Fender Stratocaster. I love the sound of the solo at the end of this track, the Stratocaster and horns sound awesome together. Let’s give Why Don’t Ya Just Let Us Play a listen.
