Featured Tracks Playlist December 2022

To start us off is Never Meant To Make You Cry from my cd I’m Gonna Let It Ride. This is a beautiful smooth jazz ballad. I’m playing my Fender Acoustic Electric and a MIDI Flute for the melody. The solo work was played on my Fender Stratocaster. I love the bass guitar line in this track and how it keeps the track moving. The strings in this track really adds to the sound canvas. Next up is Never Another Love Like Ours from the CD Smooth As I Wanna Be. This cool ballad has such a beautiful melody that I played on one of my hollow body guitars. I’m playing my acoustic eclectic Fender guitar fir the guitar chords and a Piano sound for a counter melody and chords. The walking bass guitar line is this track is captivating. Later in the track we move to a 3rd section that helps round out the track. Let’s give Never Another Love Like Ours a listen.

Next is Know That You’re Loved is another beautiful smooth jazz ballad from the CD Living In Strange Times. I’m playing my Fender Acoustic Electric for the melody. This track has such a cool vide to it with its soft strings, clean drums, great bass guitar line and a really cool piano solo. Let’s give Know That You’re Loved a listen.

Next up is One Step Closer to You from the CD 10. This smooth jazz ballad is just awesome. This is a big song with a great sound canvas.  I love the rhythm/drums, guitar work, keys, the soft counter melody and cool piano and guitar solo’s. As I wrote this track, I kept hearing “with every step I make, I’m one step closer to you”, so I named it One Step Closer To You. Let’s give One Step Closer to You a listen.

Next is Your Kiss from my cd I’m Gonna Let It Ride. This is a big smooth jazz song with a great vide. I really love the melody and solo work on this smooth jazz track. With its building Strings, Horns, killer drum programming and some really cool guitar work, I think this is really one of my best smooth jazz jams. Let’s give Your Kiss a listen.
