Book Review: The Ancient Secrets Book 1 The Ancient Code

Hello fellow readers, I’m R. E. Fort and welcome back to my podcast and this episode of my Book Reviews. The backing track in this post is the title track from my 2025 CD Stop Wait and Think. As always you can find this CD and others on all music streaming services and all my music can be found on my website refort.co. Now before we get to the review, I must admit I am already on the 3rd book in this series because I was so busy releasing my newest CD or album I forgot to write the two reviews. So, in this review I’m covering the first book in the series of books by T Y Falk, The Ancient Secrets Book 1 The Ancient Code. Let’s get to the review.
PODCAST
In book one we are introduced to Elliott Brand, an archaeologist from London. The book opens with Elliot on location in a war-torn country. When he is rushed out of the dig site as warlords take over the site. Once back in London he is called by a billionaire who presents him with the perfect mystery that he can’t resist.
He’s tasked to find his mentor and whatever artifacts that he has found and is hiding from the billionaire who is funding the expedition. He finds himself in Nepal working with a young Nepalese spy named Ashra Shah who has been assigned to him by the government and by the billionaire to assist and keep Elliott alive.
Elliott and Ashra soon find themselves in a dangerous world of spies, ancient ruins, and a truth about humanity that might change the world forever or end it. In a race to escape the ruins of this ancient and never heard of civilization before they lose their lives and everything they have found and discovered is lost to time.
On my scale of 1 to 5, a 1 being doesn’t bother and a 5 a real page turner. I’m going to give The Ancient Code a solid 4. This book and the series are highly engaging with great story lines, strongly developed characters, great plots and surprising twists throughout. But I find it to be almost part or a genre now of Ancient Civilizations but a really good read.
