Book Review: The Ancient Secrets Book 5 The Calypso Mystery

In the fifth book of this series, Elliot is on vacation stepping away from searching for the Ancient’s secrets with another professor on the Sardinia Italian Island in the Mediterranean Sea. Catching up with his old friend and relaxing.

There relaxation is interrupted by a woman asking for his friends help with a dig and artifacts that have been found. Soon Elliot realizes that this woman’s visit to see his friend is a ruse to find and engage him in this expedition. But this expedition will be different than any other Elliot has been on. This one is underwater and at deepest point in the Mediterranean Sea called Calypso Deep.

Without giving much away from this book, Elliott has been recruited to a deep-sea site to help a team access an underwater ancient lost city one that may also hold the secrets of the Ancients. Will this trip be his last great adventure or can he cheat death one more time.

On my scale of 1 to 5, a 1 being doesn’t bother and a 5 a real page turner. I’m going to give The Calypso Mystery a solid 5. This book and the series so far are highly engaging with great story lines, strongly developed characters, great plots and surprising twists throughout. If this genre works for you, then you’re going to love this book.
