In this, June’s Featured Tracks playlist I wanted to listen to some get you up and moving songs for the summer. To Start us off is the title track from I’m Gonna Let It Ride released in 2016. I was having a blast playing and writing this track. The drum track, along with that cool walking bass line are the real drivers on this track. But I do love that guitar solo and this track just rocks.

Next up is Why do I Keep Running Back To You. From the 2019 CD Smooth As I Wanna Be. This is a straight ahead blues track with a smocking Hammond organ sound. I love the walking bass guitar line. I’m playing my fender Strat for chords, solo and melody on this one.

Man I love that track. Let’s slow things down a little with a slow blues jam named Tired The long name for the track is Tried of Not Being Seen. This track is on the CD Living In Strange Times that I wrote during the Covid-19 lockdown. On this track I am playing my Fender acoustic guitar for the melody and then step up with my Fender Strat for the solo work at the end.

Next lets kick it back up a little with a cool jazz track from the 2017 release 10. This track is called Make It A Double. This is one is so much fun to play. I’m playing the melody on my Fender acoustic guitar and walk in the Fender Strat for solo work later on. The track has a very cool walking bass line and some clean keyboard work.

To finish off this playlist we end with the title track from Smooth As I Wanna Be. A very cool smooth jazz song that has lots of layers to it. The cool walking bassline keeps this track moving. I am playing my Ibanez hollow body for the melody on this track. The solo guitar is played on my Fender Strat and the tracks some sweet sounding keyboard solos mixed throughout.

Well, I hope enjoyed the music and had a chance to listen to full tracks on either my website or my YouTube Channel. Thanks for listening and as always Without Music Life Has No Soul.
