Book Review: Origin

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all. This, my last book review of the year, I’m covering another story from, Dan Brown, his book Origin. Origin is a great read, taking you all over Spain and a look at the religious culture and history of this country. This book is a thrill ride from start to finish.

Dan Brown introduces us to a friend of his main character, Robert Langdon. A former student, friend, an extremely successful business man and to some in the computer world, a profit, Edward Kirsch. The book opens with Edward travailing to a massive stone monastery in Catalonia Spain. Here, Edward has requested a meeting with three of the world leaders in religion. A prominent catholic Bishop, a Jewish Rabbi philosopher and a Islamic scholar, to share his startling discovery. That will affect everyone on the planet, especially those who follow any religion.

Edward has requested this meeting to share with these men of religion and faith his newest discovery, the answered the two questions that man has always asked. Where did we come from and Where are we going. From here this story of intrigue, revenge, and discovery is a roller coaster ride that kept me up all night flipping pages.

On my scale of 1 to 5, 1 being don’t bother and 5 a real page turner, I give Origin a solid 5. This story is captivating, fast paced and full of surprises. I highly recommend this one for all you Dan Brown fans, you wont be disappointed.
