In this review I found myself back reading one of my all-time favorite writers James Patterson. In Midnight Club we’re introduced to NYPD detective John Stefanovitch, a dedicated crime fighter and for the antagonist, a brilliant psychopathic killer who has skillfully eluded the police from London to Paris to New York, nicknamed the Grave Dancer.
The Gave Dancers is mapping out a strategy to forever change the face of organized crime not only in the US but the world. Stefanovitch or Stef, has made taking down the Grave Dancer his single passion ever since he killed his beloved wife and putting him in a wheel chair.
Along with Stef we have the beautiful journalist Sarah McGinniss whose recent writings on the inner workings of organized crime have her and her son’s life in danger. And an unorthodox New York detective named Isiah Parker whose motive for stopping the killer couldn’t be more personal or emotional.
As only James Patterson can, this story has twists, plots, counter plots and everything that makes him one of the best mystery writers out there. On my must read scale of 1 don’t bother and 5 a true page turner. I give Midnight Club a 4.5. It’s simply a great story I know you will enjoy it.
