Book Review: Her Last Goodbye (Morgan Dane Book 2)

In this review, I’m covering the second book in the series by Melinda Leigh, Her Last Goodbye. This book continues the story of our hero Ms. Morgan Dane. In this story, Morgan and the team are faced with a very disturbing case, when a young mother of two small children, Chelsea Clark vanishes. Her husband, the prime suspect in her disappearance, hires Morgan and the team to find his wife and prove his innocence.

While the team starts their investigation into her disappearance, the small town of Scarlet Falls is rocked when the dead body of another young woman is found. As Lance, the ex-police officer now Private Investigator and Morgan dig deeper into the case, Morgan and her family become targets of violent predator. Now Morgan and the team need to find out what happened to Chelsea and protect Morgan’s family from harm.

This is a well written story, with characters you immediately root for. On my scale of 1 to 5, 1 being don’t bother and 5 a real page turner, I give Her Last Goodbye a solid 5. This story is captivating, fast paced and a great read. I am looking forward to reading more from Melinda Leigh.
